What airport should I fly into?
- Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) is the most convenient, located approximately 15 miles from the hotel.
- LaGuardia Airport (LGA) is about 45 miles away.
- John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) is also an option, though it's farther from the venue.
Note: Travel times can vary due to traffic; please plan accordingly.
When is the official wedding?
Our wedding will take place on Sunday, August 31st. Note: Monday, September 1st is Labor Day, a national holiday!
What events should I attend?
Sangeet (August 30th): A night of music, dance, and fun on a yacht!
Wedding Day (August 31st): Includes the Baraat, Hindu Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, and Reception.
Where and when is the Sangeet?
The Sangeet will take place on a yacht departing from Pier 14 in Hoboken, NJ (maps link) at 6pm sharp. Important: Arriving late may mean missing the boat sailing off and being unable to attend the Sangeet. Below is entrance to the pier as well as the boat

What should I expect?
A lively evening of music, dancing, and celebration!
Will the yacht sail rain or shine?
Yes! The yacht will sail regardless of the weather. It has both covered and uncovered areas.
What should I wear?
Indian attire is preferred! Think vibrant colors: lehengas, sarees, kurtas, or sherwanis. Scroll down to the attire section to learn more about the different outfits.
Where should I park?
There are plenty of parking garages with valet in the area around Hoboken Pier 14.

Will the wedding events be indoors or outdoors?
All events will take place indoors, except for the Baraat, which is outdoors.
What is the Baraat? Should I attend?
The Baraat is the groom’s celebratory entrance, featuring music and lots of dancing. He will arrive on a horse, surrounded by family and friends. All guests are encouraged to join in!
What should I expect during the Hindu ceremony?
The ceremony will include traditional rituals and blessings in Sanskrit. Explanations will be provided to help you follow along.
Where can I park?
The venue, Crystal Plaza, has an on-site parking lot.
What should I wear on the wedding day (August 31st)?
Formal Indian or American attire.
- Women: Sarees, lehengas, gowns, or formal dresses.
- Men: Sherwanis, suits, or tuxedos.
Important: There will be no time to change between the ceremony and the reception. Please wear something appropriate for both.
Color Note: Please avoid wearing red or pink during the ceremony — these are traditionally worn by the bride.

Are kids allowed?
Yes! Children are welcome at all events. Please specify their age when you RSVP in the comments section.
Will there be food and drinks?
Absolutely. There will be delicious food and drinks at both the Sangeet and Reception. Dinner will be served at both events.
